No Limits Tank Top.....Let's Talk About This.

So, as I said in my last post, I love Lululemon and their designs, but just can't afford to indulge in them regularly...if ever.  Which brings me to the exploration of various other brands out there that mimic the same designs Lulu comes out with.  Often times, these other brands are WAY less expensive, but look, fit and feel just as good or BETTER than Lululemon.  Go figure.

Today let's look at the No Limits Tank top by Lululemon.  What we love about it and maybe what we don't love so much about it as well as exploring the alternatives that are out there that are friendlier to your budget.

    (Photo added from Pinterest)

Great Features:
    - Built in shelf bra
    - Loose fitting fabric that provides coverage, but moves with you and keeps you cool
    - Hip hugging band at the bottom to keep the top in place as you move through practice

Not So Great Features:
    - shoulder straps that DIG into your traps and are non-adjustable
    - High price!!! $64.00

Here are your alternatives.  Let's go through them one at a time from left to right.

1.  MPG "No Limits" Tank
  Great Features:
      - Built in bra with removable padding
      - loose fitting fabric that provides coverage and moves with you and keeps you cool.
      - great colors
      - awesome price.  $20-$40

   Drawbacks
      - bottom is not hip hugging, but it's still cute with a rounded edge

2. Marika Tek "No Limits" Tank
   Great Features:
      - built in bra with removable padding
      - double shoulder straps for better comfort
      - loose fitting fabric for coverage and ease of movement and keeps you cool
      - hip hugging bottom hem
      - great colors
      - amazing price.  $17-$34

    Drawbacks
      - the top is cut a little shorter so the hip hugging hem may not keep the top in place as well.

 3. RBX "No Limits" Tank
     Great Features:
       - built in bra
       - wide shoulder straps for maximum comfort
       - loose fitting fabric for coverage and ease of movement and keeps you cool
       - hip hugging bottom hem
       - great colors
       - awesome price.  $13-$29

     Drawbacks
       - No removable padding for added coverage

4. Old Navy "No Limits" Tank
    Great Features
       - Built in bra
       - Shoulder straps have more play in their elasticity for a more comfortable fit
       - loose fitting fabric for coverage and ease of movement and keeps you cool.
       - hip hugging bottom hem
       - great colors
       - stellar price. $20

    Drawbacks
       - top is cut shorter so the top tends to ride up instead of staying in place.
       - no removable padding for added coverage

And of course, on the end we have the Lululemon No Limits Tank which we have already discussed. You now have all the information you need about the various other brands out there that make a similar product from a person who owns and uses the products herself.  Go forth and make informed decisions based on what you now know.

Our society puts pressure on us to conform to certain norms especially when it comes to how we look and how we dress.  In the yoga community, it seems that Lululemon rules.  If you feel pressure to own Lululemon clothing....because I once did....just know that you have choices....choices that make you feel less guilty about spending your money on an article of clothing that looks similar, but is just as good or better than that expensive brand.  You can feel better knowing you didn't jump on the Lululemon band wagon, but look just as cute or cuter!!!

Namaste!

Kristen

You will find many of these same products in my Ebay shop.  Go have a look: Awesome Yoga Gear

Stay tuned for the next installment where we will look at another Lululemon design that others have mimicked so we can save money.
